3. Rustic Twig Reindeer Wall Art

3
This is the statement piece of the list — a large reindeer head made from gathered branches that hangs above a fireplace, a console table, or a front porch.

What you need: a thick branch for the face, two forked branches for antlers, thinner twigs for detail, garden pruners, jute twine, and hot glue or florist wire. A grapevine wreath base can substitute for the face if you want something rounder.

Lay your main branch vertically. Attach the two forked antler branches to the top with twine wrapped tightly and a dab of glue to lock it. Add a small horizontal twig for the nose area and two short pieces angled down for ears. Work on the floor or a large table so you can step back and check the silhouette — proportion matters more than perfection here.

Time: 45 to 60 minutes. Difficulty: intermediate, mostly because of the structural gluing.

Hang indoors with a command strip or a small nail, or seal it and mount it on the porch. A strand of fairy lights woven through the antlers turns it into an evening feature. If you want a version that stores flat, skip the glue and use twine only, then untie it in January.

💡 Pro Tip: Gather branches right after a windy day when the ground is already littered, and choose pieces that curve naturally rather than forcing straight sticks into shape.
